The scope of this project by the McArdle Group included the construction of a new landfill facility for the Island of Barbados, including all necessary infrastructure, and involved:

  • 170,000 cm of excavation

  • 100,000 cm of reworked clay liner

  • Supply and installation of 108,500 m2 of geotextile

  • Transportation and installation of 20,500 tonnes of leachate drainage stone

  • Supply and installation of 1,100 lm of leachate collection pipe

  • Supply and construction of scale house and weight scales

  • Supply and construction of 11,000 sm of rip-rap lined channels

  • Asphalt access roads

  • Weighbridge

  • Offices

  • Services and fences
