McArdle Stabilisation provides stabilised chalk foundation that enables just 250mm of construction to finish road level.

McArdle Stabilisation has begun stabilising the site-won chalk foundation of the Weymouth Relief Road in Dorset with Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag and Cement.

The Class 3 foundation will be overlaid by just 250mm of bituminous surfacing, providing a more cost effective and environmentally beneficial road than conventional construction.

McArdle are trimming the foundation to an extremely tight tolerance to enable a quality end product that performs to the same high standard along the length of the road.

The road will get drivers into the town faster than the current Dorchester Road in time for the Olympic venues sailing events in 2012.
