Third Phase of excavation work underway

 

McArdle will be starting the third phase of excavation work at Heathrow on the 3^rd August 2009. The Eastern Interface Building is the next section of work McArdle have negotiated with Ferrovial Agroman Airports (UK) Limited as part of their contract to provide a baggage transfer system for Heathrow’s T5.

The Contract is worth £800k and work will include excavating over 7000m3 of mixed material from beneath Heathrow and disposing off site. This will be coordinated around Ferrovial who will be constructing a concrete chamber with intermediate floors as the work proceeds.
