McArdle has taken delivery of 6 new CAT 730 ADT’s. The choice was made on the basis of the reliability and quality of the dump trucks from Caterpillar and the support services provided by Finning.
All of the dump trucks have been fitted with Ongrade Proximity Alarms, as a result of McArdle’s investment into the development of safe systems of working for operatives adjacent to heavy construction plant.
The importance of investing into modern plant and lorries as well as the development of safety initiatives is a prime consideration for McArdle. Energy efficiency, safety, quality and reliability of service are driving the sustainable growth of the group.
Lorries have been equipped with the latest technology with sensors, cameras, blind spot detection systems, audible alarms, and side under run guards to prevent cyclists being thrown under the wheels. The lorries are also fitted with automated tail-gates, weigh loader alarms and “POD Father” technology for electronic load ticketing.
McArdle uses modern technology and is constantly developing new systems and methods of working in the interest of the environment, safety and sustainability.
