Description: Reinstatement of abandoned underpass beneath Wandsworth Road Bridge
Works comprise the following:
Demolition and removal of existing brickwork walls currently sealing both ends of the former underpass
Breaking out and removal of existing concrete floor slab
Reduced level excavation with the underpass to achieve new levels
Disposal of excavated soils to suitably licensed landfill facility
Construction of new surface water drainage including manhole and gulleys
Installation of ducting for CCTV
Installation of waterproof membrane within the underpass
Construction of new concrete floor slab
Construction of new blockwork walls
Construction of new ceiling including installation of lighting
Placing new paving and bollards
Works to adjacent areas includes:
Application of Resin bonded gravel to concrete slope
Construction of new brick wall
Repairs to existing road surfacing and kerbs
Improvement of existing soft landscaped area
