As part of our commitment to the highest health and safety standards, the McArdle Group is a member of the Construction Health and Safety Group (CHSG).

The CHSG was formed in 1952 with a membership of 17 representatives from the major construction companies in the London area.

In 2002 it celebrated 50 years of remarkable achievement and sustained success in the field of accident prevention, having established itself as one of the premier safety groups and main providers of construction safety training in the country. It has a reputation for the delivery of first class training, where customer care and efficient, effective service is a priority.

It is universally acknowledged that CHSG, after 50 years of practice, is very good at what it does best – providing affordable safety training for the construction industry using a team of lecturers currently active in the industry.

Its principal aims and objectives are the same today as they were when CHSG was formed in 1952:

(a) to improve occupational health in the industry;
(b) to foster co-operation between government, employers and those who work in the construction industry;
(c) to study the health and safety training needs of the industry;
(d) to provide training in response to the identified need.
