At the McArdle Group we constantly aim to be an asset to the communities in which we do business.
We believe that civil engineering excellence includes fully embracing social responsibility in terms of the impact of our activities on the environment, communities, employees, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere.
The Lighthouse Club
Our corporate social responsibility commitments also involve support for the fundraising activities of registered charities, including the Lighthouse Club, the construction industry’s principal charity.
The Lighthouse Club Benevolent Fund is an independent entity, governed by statute. The trustees legal responsibility is to the Charity Commissioners. The chairman of the trustees is a member of the Club’s National Council and reports quarterly to its members.
So far the fund has raised over £7 million, a figure that justifies its Latin motto ‘Aliis cum Humanitate’ (‘Consideration for Others’).
Society and the Environment
Our aspiration at all times is to leave a positive corporate social responsibility impact in the communities and environments in which we live and work.
