Jim McArdle - Founder
The McArdle Group was founded in 1969 by Jim McArdle and over the last four decades has successfully grown to become a well diversified civil engineering contractor.
During early 2008, the Group was acquired by Mercier Holdings Ltd. Although Jim McArdle’s ownership of the business was transferred, he continues to work closely with the business.
Major civil engineering projects
In recent years the Group has delivered some high profile large scale projects such as:-
- Redevelopment of the M1 motorway (junction 6a to 10)
- The A3 tunnel at Hindhead
- The M25 design and build project (junction 12 to 15)
- The M25 widening (junction 16 to 23 and 27 to 30), one of the largest projects of its kind in the UK
The McArdle Group has consistently demonstrated its ability to deliver all sizes of projects on time and on budget.
The Group operates from its headquarters in Colnbrook near Slough, employing nearly 300 people.
